LIMITED WARRANTY
The limited warranty set forth herein is given by RENEGADE Fly Rods Company, LLC(“Renegade”) to the initial purchaser (as defined herein) with respect to your new Renegade Fly Rods ® (hereinafter “Fly Rod”). The Fly Rod is designed for fly fishing and fly casting; do not use it for any other purpose.
SCOPE OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY:
Renegade offers a limited warranty to the Initial Purchaser (as defined below) for personal use of the Fly Rod, subject to the Exclusions and Warranty Period as defined herein. The “Initial Purchaser” is the first retail consumer to purchase the Fly Rod from Renegade. This limited warranty is nontransferable and shall automatically terminate when it is subsequently sold by the Initial Purchaser.
Except as otherwise set forth herein, the initial limited warranty period for this new Fly Rod purchased by the Initial Purchaser is a one (1) year full no fault and no cost warranty. During the initial year of ownership, if for any reason you have a failure or accidental breakage, resulting in failure in your rod Renegade will repair or replace the section, sections, or complete rod at no charge. Thereafter, the limited warranty period continues for an additional thirteen (13) years (a total of fourteen (14) years from the date of purchase as shown on the original sales receipt) for the Fly Rod (“Warranty Period”).
DEFECTS IN WORKMANSHIP OR MATERIALS:
Subject to the Exclusions, the Fly Rod is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in either workmanship or materials for the Warranty Period. During the Warranty Period, Renegade will, at its option, either repair or replace any original part that is covered by this limited warranty and is determined to be defective in workmanship or materials.
TO QUALIFY FOR THIS LIMITED WARRANTY THE FLY ROD:
1. Must have been purchased from Renegade.
2. Must have been used for personal purposes only.
3. Must have been used in a manner consistent with the normal and proper use intended for the Fly Rod.
The Fly Rod is not intended for rental or commercial use.
WHO CAN PERFORM REPAIRS UNDER THIS WARRANTY?
In order to qualify for the limited warranty as set forth herein, the repairs made under this warranty must be performed by Renegade or an Renegade authorized service provider.
HOW TO GET SERVICE UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY:
In the event of defect or that you encounter a problem with Renegade rod, simply contact customer service at service@renegadeflyrods.com. Customer service will determine whether your item needs to be repaired or replaced. A COPY OF YOUR SALES RECEIPT MAY BE REQUIRED FOR WARRANTY SERVICE.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING (THE “EXCLUSIONS”):
After the initial one (1) year period, the following exclusions apply:
1. Damage caused by events and situations beyond normal use, including, but not limited to: accidental breakage, misuse, abuse, neglect, impacts of foreign objects, acts of God, abnormal or improper use, improper storage, lack of maintenance, improper maintenance, attempted repair or service by anyone other than Renegade Customer Service, accident, alteration, discoloration or other damage caused by pollution, sunlight, other environmental conditions, mold, dirt, mildew, or exposure to harmful chemicals and any other cause not involving manufacturing defects in the Renegade product.
2. Normal wear and tear resulting from use of the product.
3. Any expendable, consumable, or routine maintenance item which needs replacement or service as part of normal maintenance.
4. Use of the product that is not consistent with the intended use thereof, including, but not limited to, abuse, misuse and/or neglect.
5. Any Fly Rod that has been altered or modified in a manner not consistent with the original design of the Fly Rod or in a manner not approved by Renegade.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER AND RENEGADE DISCLAIMS ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR:
1. Loss of time or loss of use of the Fly Rod.
2. Transportation costs and other expenses incurred in connection with the delivery of the Fly Rod to and from the authorized RENEGADE service provider.
3. Any loss or damage to other equipment or personal items.
4. Damages caused by improper maintenance.
5. Damage resulting from the installation or use of any accessory or part not approved by RENEGADE.
6. Damage caused by excessive exposure to rain, water, or other natural causes.
LIMITATIONS:
1. THERE ARE NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NO WARRANTY SHALL APPLY AFTER THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD, AS SET FORTH ABOVE, AS TO THE PARTS AS IDENTIFIED. NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY OR GUARANTY, WHETHER WRITTEN OR ORAL, EXCEPT AS STATED ABOVE, GIVEN BY ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING A DEALER, DISTRIBUTOR OR RETAILER, WITH RESPECT TO ANY, PRODUCT SHALL BIND RENEGADE. DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE DEFECTIVE PART, AS SET FORTH ABOVE. (SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.)
2. THE PROVISIONS, AS SET FORTH HEREIN, PROVIDE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY ARISING FROM THE SALE. RENEGADE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, FOR TRANSPORTATION OR FOR RELATED EXPENSES, OR FOR RENTAL EXPENSES TO TEMPORARILY REPLACE A WARRANTED PRODUCT. (SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.)
3. IN NO EVENT SHALL RECOVERY OF ANY KIND BE GREATER THAN THE AMOUNT OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT SOLD. ALTERATION OF THE PRODUCT SHALL VOID THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
4. This limited warranty extends to the Initial Purchaser only and, except as otherwise stated herein, the applicable Warranty Period will begin on the original date of purchase of the Product. In the event that the original date of purchase of the Product is indeterminable, then the Warranty Period shall be established using the Product’s date of manufacture, as determined by Renegade. In no event shall a Product’s warranty extend beyond the applicable Warranty Period.
HOW STATE LAW RELATES TO THIS WARRANTY:
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Additional charges may be incurred by the Initial Purchaser if customer service determined, in its sole discretion that the Reel breakage or malfunction was not due to defects in workmanship or materials
